BRIAN ANDERSON

BA is a big guy with big style... not two things you see together too often. Look at that photo again (shot by Ben Colen)!

CHRIS MILLER

I have yet to see anyone carve a frontside air as far and as gracefully as this guy. Amazing to watch on vert.

ALEX OLSON

Going contemporary today. Flow and speed and pedigree = style. Alex is the first pro skater with a pro skater father which speaks to how this young man seems to channel slashers of the past... Love watching this kid skate.

NATAS KAUPAS

His frontside wallrides back in the early/mid '80s are iconic. This photo is just as iconic — wish I could remember who shot it. Bryce? Mofo?

The Santa Cruz "Screaming Hand" logo is an iconic skateboarding image designed by the legendary Jim Phillips. Cool as hell.
Yesterday I check Max Schaaf's 4Q site like I always do, and he had this infamous shot of Richard Ramirez as his header...

Has anyone noticed this before? Or am I really behind on this one?

One of the elements of style that always impresses me is the feeling of total effortlessness. Not many have this. I don't think it can be taught. This kid's got it...

There are, of course, some skaters on this list that are obvious stalwarts of style.

There's not much style overlap from Julien Stranger to todays nominee. That's what rules about style... all the individual flavors. This guy is one of the most flavorful;

Skateboarding is a funny thing when you're watching it. Some skaters make it look easy, some make it look sketchy and fast, some just aren't too much fun to watch at all. Over the next few posts I'm giving you my top 25 most stylish... past or present. You don't like it? Tough. Start your own column or complain on some forum.

I'm not putting these guys in any particular order. And the only criteria is that they have sick style and are fun to watch skate.

I'm starting with this guy;

JULIEN STRANGER

I found this photo (shot 20 years ago, mind you) on the Chrome Ball Incident (#428) and the image alone is pretty much responsible for me wanting to start this list. I've always liked the way Julian skates, and he may have just have the coolest name in skateboarding as well...

If you have suggestions for me to consider, drop me a line or forever hold your peace.
