THUG II
An interviewed review with Ernesto "Elmo" Hernandes

Well, what's your general consensus of Tony Hawk UnderGround II?
Elmo: Huh?

What do you think of THUG II?
Oh. I like it, dude, it's tight. I've already beaten it about 5 times, I swear. I filled up two memory cards already.

You're kidding me...
No, I did, really. My mom hates video games but she lets me play it on the weekends. Sometimes my dad plays too. He's pretty good, but I always beat him... like you.

Whatever.
You're getting better, though! I hate skating in that scary place — the one that looks like hell with all the fire and stuff. It's creepy. But the space station is really cool. I like to skate with all the special characters I unlocked.

You mean like that wierd kid with the broken leg and the halo?
No, not him. He cusses. But I like skating with Shrek even though his style is wack. His special tricks are cool.

Who else do you skate with?
Bobby and Jimmy down the street. Yako, a couple other guys...

No, I mean, in the game.
Oh! Koston, of course. They used to have Paul Rodriguez, but he's not in the new one. How come?

I don't know, kid.
Wanna know my favorite part of the game?

I guess.
The graffiti. You can customize it and have your own tag. That's cool.

Does your mom know about that?
It's only a video game, Carl. It's fun. One of the special characters is a graffiti guy too... he has a mask on and stuff. You can knock him over and paint over his art. It's funny.

Yikes, something like that could get you killed in the real world.
This isn't the real world, Carl, it's a video game — even though Bam and Tony are in it. And Koston. It's not real because those guys can't do 1000 foot airs from one building to another. Koston can't really do a Fandangle...

Who told you that?
What?

Nevermind. How does this game rank amongst all these others I see here, Freekstyle, SSXIII, Songebob, Mario Supercart...
Tony Hawk is still my favorite one, but I like Spongebob too. Have you seen how he slides on his tongue? So funny.
