Dear Crailtap, Some friends of mine and I saw Dave perform at a Comedy club in Denver. He had 2 shows to do that night and we saw the first. After the show he invited us backstage. All he kept talking about was skating after he did the second show. We were lucky enough to know a kid who had the keys to the EXPN (I know, that's pretty bad) park and Dave said he would meet us there. We were pretty faded from the show so we rolled around for a few hours to sober up. It was getting pretty late and we weren't sure if he was going to show. Low and behold at 1 am Dave and his crew show up to skate. They padded up and skated till the sun damn near came up the next morning. All I can say is they seemed more amped on skating than your average skate rat. As I was leaving the park Dave rolled by my towards the vert ramp and said, "I'm bout to fuck with this transition." It's not every day you get to have a session with "Sir Smoke A lot" (Half Baked) You gotta love that. —Rob
